Designed for POS locations where space is at a premium, the HP USB Mini Magnetic Strip Reader is is a fully intelligent swipe reader that can be programmed to divide, rearrange, edit and validate fields of magnetic card data.

The HP USB Mini Magnetic Stripe Reader reads up to three tracks of information with a single swipe of a magnetic stripe card in any direction. The beeper and LED signal a successful read. Itautomatically distinguishes between AAMVA and CA DMV formats. It can be used asa freestanding unit or can be permanently mounted using the threaded inserts inthe bottom of the reader via screws or Velcro, hook and loop fasteners.

At just 3.5 inches long—about the length of a credit card, the HP USB Mini Magnetic Strip Reader has a very small footprint.

The HP USB Mini Magnetic Strip Reader is the perfect companion for the HP Point of Sale system rp3000 and rp5800.

HP Retail POS Peripherals carry a three year options limited warranty, which includes three years of Advanced Exchange coverage (valid whether purchased with our without an HP POS terminal).  Extensions of service are also available via HP Care Pack Services to four (4) or five (5) years of coverage for the RPOS unit plus HP peripherals and HP monitor (service starting from date of HW purchase).  Accidental Damage Protection Care Packs are also available.  ADP provides protection coverage for physical damage caused by or resulting from a fortuitous incident. Covered perils include non-intentional liquid spills in or on the unit, drops, falls, and electrical surge.  ADP can be purchased for the warranty period for three (3) years or, with a service extension, for four (4) or five (5) years. ADP covers the POS unit plus peripherals, including the monitor.
